      No he can’t. Spot usage of Ichi is best for the team.

      Probably best to exclude anyone that didn’t play in 1/2 of their teams games. Too many guys here with 30, 40, 50, 60 games played for the full season. removing the would cut the list by 1/3.

      That Jeter guy is lurking just south of this list. If I had to guess, he’ll just miss it, but will be in the top 3 or 4 all-time for number of hits on his age 40 season.

      Wasn’t Derek Jeter’s production supposed to “drop off significantly” last year, simply because he went from age 38 to 39? It’s a shame he suffered that injury – he could have moved into the top 5…
