One quarter left to the 2015 season and it appears to be a three team race in the A.L. East: Yankees, Blue Jays and Orioles.

Baltimore closes out the season with 7 games against Toronto and New York. That could be interesting.

And, the Yankees and Blue Jays still have to play each other 7 more times this year. Those should be fun games.

Of course, having two wildcards sort of takes the sense of urgency away from the whole thing, a little bit.

Angels are still very much alive for a Wild Card. So are the Rangers. Even if you don’t believe in the Rays, Twins, etc.

Twins don’t look like a contender, watching them play the Yankees the last two nights.

I never really thought so myself. I thought their pitching was way over its head. They’re a very low K staff, and the bullpen except for Perkins and maybe Fien, is also mediocre at best.

But in about two years, the linuep will have Hicks, Rosario, Buxton, Sano Dozier and Mauer, and Berrios, Jay, and possibly May and Graham in the rotation.

And then they’ll be a stone-cast beach to deal with.
