      Mick was a very underrated part of that team.
      He was a monster in the 76-77 and 78 ALCS. Yankees would not have won those without him.

      Munson was also huge in all 3. And Chambliss and White were huge in 76 and 78. Reggie was terrible in 77 and got benched, but did get that bloop hit off of Splitorff in the 8th inning of game 5 that got the Yanks within a run, and had a great ALCS in 78.

      Side note: Ken Clay had his one shining moment as a Yankee relieving Jim Beattie in game 1 in 1978. 3 2/3 shutout innings for the save.

      IIRC, Sparky made note of Clay in his Bronx Zoo book – for being a beast in that LCS game.
