    THIS.

If two Martians landed today and asked “What’s baseball?,” I would tell them go watch THIS game. It’s a fun one.

BEST game in many years. The Yanks showed real emotion.

I loved Betances telling Joe to go away even though he was obviously gassed.

      That catch was thrilling!!

Yanks were lucky on several fronts last night.

They did outhomer the Jays 3-1, and each HR was critical.
Cessa did OK. Warren was very tough. Betances was gassed; the Jays have a tough tough lineup.

Parker was lucky the ball stayed in the park. Gardner was lucky, as the ball hit the pocket and bounced out of his glove. Snowcones, anyone?

      Eh, I’ll take it.

Oh, and it’s amazing to me how the last two years, the Yanks bring up reliever after reliever from Scranton with great numbers, some of whom seem to have solid enough stuff, and they all struggle like crazy in the majors.

I hope they have this one in Yankees Classics this winter.

Living in an area that is highly populated by minor league BB, there is a logical explanation to this. Most AAA teams recently have rushed their high draft selected players thru the system in hopes of advancing them to the majors. Why? Your guess is as good as mine but each team is looking for the next Mike Trout. Some are simply not ready and thus the quality of hitters the SWB pitchers are facing are at best high AA players. Having seen the SWB play many times and other local team, I seen this up close. Also this goes with the SWB lineup too. Minor league BB is not followed as closely as MLB and at time what appears to be a no miss player turns out to be nothing more than AAAA player. At the end of the day, its all about adjusting to league and players. Some are better than others and some never pan out.

So was the block by Sanchez.

Even though Betances was gassed, it’s not like the Jays were lighting him up. There were a couple of annoying ground ball singles that were perfectly placed.
