This is the race that I really want to watch.

Both teams unloaded established players to obtain blue chip prospects over the last half-year or so. And, both, according to them, had pretty good drafts/international signings the last couple of years.

Chicago has not won a ring since 2005. The Yankees last won a ring in 2009.

Both teams play in big markets. Both teams share a city and have their neighbor doing better than them, recently.

It will be a nice study to see which team/GM did the better job of rebuilding.

      Yes, it will.

The White Sox were willing to unload a Cy Young caliber starter, which no matter how good Champman and Miller are, and they’re plenty good, means the return for Sale should outperform the return for either Chapman or Miller. And Eaton is a very good outfielder in the middle of his prime, and the return for him should dwarf that of the return for Carlos Beltran.

In addition, it would appear that White Sox ownership is more willing to take a truly non-competitive season to rebuild faster.

But the jury is out on both rebuilds. The tougher part lies ahead of both Cashman and Hahn.
