    Like every Japanese import pitcher, the bloom is starting to come off the rose. Hiroki Kuroda was probably the only exception.

      Let’s not be hasty here. Yes, Tanaka’s getting knocked around, but his career isn’t over yet.

      By the way, when does the bloom come off Yu Darvish’s rose?

      Steve, you’re reaching here. Tanaka doesn’t have some crazy delivery or an “unusual” pitch gimmick. Go back and look at any large numbers of “notable” pitchers, and I’m sure that plenty of them have really lousy stretches. When you really stop and think about pitching, it’s a wonder anyone can even do it at this level. He might be a minor injury, or mentally be “off” for whatever reason….
