That was the Yankees record in April this year. Since then, they are 23-19.

Love this team and most of the things that are happening; but, the water is seeking it’s own level. It’s coming folks.

All the bats, except Judge’s have gone cold at the same time, and the bullpen is too thin. Tomorrow we get Chapman back. The team still needs another starter and a “nice” bullpen piece. Right now, they’ve got as good a chance as any to make the playoffs….

Not a complete team. Still better than I thought they’d be.

      @ Evan3457:
Agreed, but if a couple of the farmhands come up and play well….. it seems to happen once or twice a decade for “some other” teams, maybe it’s OUR TURN!

That’s sort of the point. Judge and Sanchez are now firmly in place. We hope the same for Severino and Montgomery, but pitchers are more volatile. We had hoped Bird would breakthrough this year and locked down 1st for the foreseeable future; doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now.

We hope Frazier, Torres and possibly Fowler can establish themselves next year, plus Adams.

Then sign Machado and/or Harper in the offseason of 2018-9, and challenge seriously for titles for the next 4-6 years after.
