• A Season Of Two Streaks

Yankees have lost their last 7 games in a row. From April 9th through the 17th, they won 8 games in a row.

Outside of those two streaks, they are 30-23 this season.

They still might win 90 games this season. But, it’s not looking good.

They were 38-30 going into tonight, which is roughly 90-72 for the season, a little better than I thought they’d do.

They need a couple of decent starts, and one or two relievers to turn it around. As I always say: we’ll see.

Their red-hot bats covered up the bullpen’s season long mediocrity. People want to get on Carter and Headley, but the bullpen has sucked for most of the season. Even before this losing streak, they were barely middle-the-pack when it came to blown-saves, and save percentage. The middle part of the bullpen has to quickly come around, or they better depend on the starters throwing 220 inning/pitcher. Good luck….
