awesome, Lohud is getting Chad Jennings as their replacement. That guy does a stand up job with Scranton, I look forward to his work at Lohud.

That’s tremendous news and I’m happy for Chad. I was a loyal reader of the SWB blog.

This really shows you how much the internet has changed journalism. By virtue of a rabid fanbase’s readership, Pete Abraham got the attention of a bigger newspaper and was replaced by a guy that also served that rabid fanbase’s minor league affiliate.

It’s pretty gratifying to know that our eyeballs (ie readership/page visits) had something to do with the chain of events that led to big promotions for both Pete Abe and Chad. Congrats to them and pats on the back all around for us!

Pete is a classy guy. He has talked up Chad Jennings and his blog for a long time now (that’s how I found out about it), and I’m sure he’s the reason Jennings has been named his replacement. It’s really nice to see people who don’t forget their roots when they move up the tree.

I’ll miss Pete. He hit the right notes. Hard to replace what he brought to Yankee fandom.

I saw Cashman speak earlier this year. During Q&A he was asked if he read any Yankee blogs. His first mention was Pete Abe’s Lohud blog.
