The Yankees 10th win this season or their 20th loss of the year?  Which will come first?

One win needed.  Three losses to go.

They almost have to win ten before they lose twenty, right?

….and so CC goes on the DL with a hamstring injury……….

CC to the DL plays right into the hands of Cashman. Now he will start playing the “we were unlucky with injuries” card.

Since it’s Mothers Day and the Yankees have won 3 of their last 4 games, I figured it’s a good time to try and put a positive spin on our favorite baseball team. So here are 3 positive thoughts to hold on to – and I mean desperately like one hanging off a cliff!

      1) The last time the Yankees were at .500 was April 14 with a record of 4-4. At that time they were 2.5 games behind the division leading Orioles. Today the Yankees stand at 6 games under .500 and are 5.5 games behind the division leading Orioles. So after going 7-13 over their last 20 games the Yankees have only lost 3 games in the standings. Let’s all say a silent prayer now to thank God that the Yankees are in the AL East.

      2) The Yankees are 6th in the AL with 15 quality starts. More than half of their starts are considered quality starts. And that percentage should increase now that our starters are sufficiently stretched out. Early in the year our starters were only giving us 5 innings. Lately, their IP counts have improved. The starting pitching has been good enough to win.

      3) Our bullpen is as good as we all thought it would be and Chapman rejoins the team tomorrow making our greatest strength even stronger.

And to add one more of my personal favorites, I am loving Austin Romine right now.

They have to start hitting up and down the lineup. I don’t mean great, just solid. If that happens, they’ll pick things up and get back in the race.

If not, they’ll lose 90 or more.
