It’s been an interesting last 24 days! See? I told you the Yankees would be fine! They are rolling now. Although, can we please stop with the injuries? That said, it’s going to be a fun year. I totally LOVE watching Aaron Judge. You know that other teams have Trout, Harper, and guys like that…where you say “Why can’t we get a guy like that?” Well, we DO have that guy. There’s nothing not to love about Judge. And, Didi…I never thought he would be this good. But, I am happy that he is! And, how about Sabathia!

Me? It’s been crazy since my last post. School baseball season started the day after that post. And, we’re heavy into travel baseball now too. Each week, my son as two or three school games. And, then he’s playing ball all weekend long too. Last weekend, we were over in Pennsylvania, the weekend before, we were in Mickleton NJ (real far away). This coming weekend, we’re in Yaphank, Long Island. Lots of driving! And, lots of times leaving at 5 AM to head to games. On top of that, in order to make his school games, I have been going into work early and leaving early. Basically, I get up at 5 AM EVERYDAY now – and, I am NOT a morning person.

It’s all good. School ball stops in about 3 weeks. And, the tournament schedule is lighter in June. (Although, it’s going to be insane again in July.) But, this is his thing and it’s fun to watch.

For those who have been here since the beginning, remember, he was ONE year old when I started this blog. And, next September, he heads off to High School. Man, that went quick! (Yeah, that’s him in the picture, hitting.)

Anyway – back to the Yankees. Enjoy it! This is a very good team. I would be shocked if they don’t make the playoffs. What happens there…we will have to wait and see.

The last 13 games or so have been so fun with the Yanks winning in pretty much every way possible. The 9th inning comeback yesterday was made that much better in that Torres and Andujar got clutch hits. Also the pitching has been outstanding lately and went toe to toe with the champs elite rotation. Obviously it helped they didn’t face Cole. I too would be shocked if the Yanks don’t make the playoffs…if mostly healthy of course.

The Yanks are indeed rolling and closed that gap between the Sox real quick. Glad to hear that things are crazy for you in a good way Steve. Was wondering why there wasn’t a post during this liftoff period from the Yanks.

When they lost that horrible game to the Marlins a few weeks ago, I was very worried about them getting it going, mainly because I knew they had been throwing away opportunities against some very bad teams (3 out of 4 to the Orioles, at home, a 1 to the Marlins, at home), and the Sox were on fire.

But in the last week and a half, the Yanks have made up much ground against the Sox, while the Yanks were playing tougher opponents as the Sox played some weaker teams, and lost some games they shouldn’t have as well.

So, we’re back to even with them, more or less. Yanks aren’t as good as they’ve looked the last two weeks, but they weren’t as bad as they looked in the 1st 18 games either.

I still think that if the Sox’ starters stay healthy, they win the division. But that’s not certain.

      We’ll see.

Glad all is well. Is your son batting or catching?

So far it has been a fun season. And Sterling’s call of Gleyber Torres’ hr was better than I expected. ?

      That’s him, batting.

At this point, the Yankees can coast to a 90 win season. And, if they play well, then 100 wins is not out of range.

That’s the beauty of their record at this point.
